Yes, I think it is a good idea, and somebody else thought it was to--the latest
Lynxen from somewhere in 2.8.1dev.* (even before?) support hitting CTRL-V
while inside a form or whatever and allowing you to enter a Lynx keystroke.
E.g.: CTRL-V Left_arrow would back you out of the page.
Beware (at least in recent lynxen) using CTRL-V while _not_ inside a form (text
entry field) causes Lynx to toggle between the two "TagSoup" and "SortaSGML"
parsing contexts, both unrelated to what you are talking about. What I mean is,
the CTRL-V stuff only pertains to text-entry fields.
