I do test-builds with 0.99.38 and 1.22 (since John Davis chooses to not
maintain a changelog with dates, it's a little difficult to determine
what is "old").  0.99.38, however, is widely distributed (so, like
ncurses 1.9.9e, I'll test-build against that for the present).
