1st, `you' is an international co-op of volunteers;
2nd, your own e-mail line-formatting could be improved;
3rd, 2-8 is rather old: you should get 2-8-1 from www.slcc.edu/lynx/release
tho' it doesn't do any better with tables.

that one's actually quite good compared with many ...

everyone who develops Lynx -- in their spare time -- knows the problem,
which arises basically from the fact that Lynx makes just 1 pass
thro' the incoming data-stream, which makes Lynx very fast,
but prevents it from knowing in advance how wide to make table columns.
there's an awk script at www.mich.com/~thomas/ftp/lxtab0.5.tar.gz
or you can download the source & run it thro' your software above.

if you want to have a go at programming table support for Lynx
-- since you claim it's easy (smile) -- feel welcome to send in patches.
