Yon may change one line in src/chrtrans/def7_uni.tbl yourself:
replace "U+2014:--" with "U+2014: -- " IN YOUR PRIVATE COPY of lynx
and stop spawning lynx-dev with your samples (a better idea may be
complain to page authors instead).
