[This is just a small culture clash.] Here's what works:
If you get the .zip from the fdisk.com site, you put the .zip file in a
virgin folder, unzip it, and read the README that you find there (and what
it tells you to read, like the comments in LYNX.BAT). There is no
self-installing .exe on the outside, you have to do a little fiddly
business first.
Warning: This version is not fully consumerized; The instructions are a
little thin. Please feel free to write again to address@hidden if it is
not working. I get to bail out professional webmasters that work all their
life in Windows from time to time.
Once you have paths, etc. set up so that starting LYNX.BAT gets you a
working web browse session, you can "send [LYNX.BAT] to desktop as
shortcut" and a shortcut looking like lynx.ico should show up on your
desktop that launches Lynx just like any other Windows Ap.
