But I thought that the point the _original poster_ was making was that while
telling someone developing lynx (and thus having access and familarity
with the code) to look thru the CHANGES file was an unfortunate fact of life,
expecting to tell J Average User to do so , even IF a URL to an online
copy of the CHANGES file is provided, seems to be a non-serious question.

The CHANGES file is oriented towards someone more familar (and interested)
in a historical evolution of the tool...
