After a while, I found this, and TD expanded on it: It was an effect
of using an older gcc on Solaris 2.6.
Unlike others, I find Lynx doesn't understand the
^Z; stty ...; fg; ^L
to reformat the screen. Probably YA curses interaction.
I'm not much concerned.
