lynx-dev SSL support for Lynx 2.8

Hi there!

Some days ago, I downloaded sourcecode for lynx2.8, and compiled it. It is
working fine. Now I want to add SSL support to it. I was found some info
about it at Subir's website (www.crl.com/~subir/lynx/patches.html). 

It gives a pointer (ftp://www.slcc.edu/pub/lynx/release/ssl.html) for 
obtaining info about SSL support in release 2.8. But I am unable to access
that page, as anonymous login to that ftp server is denied. 

Could you explain me any other way of implementing SSL in this release of
Lynx ? I will really appreciate your help.
