I got a TEAC SCSI CD writer (4x12) for well undex $US500, which came
with Adaptec CD software. I have used it to create CDs readable under
Win32, NetBSD (PC/UNIX), Digital UNIX and audio CDs. I created an ISO
filesystem with mkisofs, then used the Adaptec software to put that
image on the CD. There are free UNIX programs to write the CDs, but I
wasn't able to get them to work with my hardware.
