You should define LYNX_CFG, not LYNX_CFG_FILE.  The latter is the
macro to use if you want to defien the location in userdefs.h, it's
a bit inconsistent.

This applies to current 2.8.2 pre-release code, but I don't think
it has changed since 2.8.

Clair's response :

You were correct. I should have been using LYNX_CFG rather than
LYNX_CFG_FILE.
I made the appropriate change in login.com; logged out; then logged back
in.
However, that did not solve the problem. I still am not able to use
printers which I have defined with dua330:[clair]lynx.cfg via the PRINTER
operand in lynx.cfg. When I type p (for PRINT), I see 3 options as
follows:

Save to the local file

Mail the file to yourself

Print to the screen

I do not see a list of printers which are within lynx.cfg.
Printers are defined in the manner shown by the following example :

PRINTER:VMS tinman:print /queue=ghs1$tinman %s:FALSE:58

I believe that I should be seeing the printer tinman in the list
immediately following the 3rd option listed above : 

Print to the screen

However, I see no printers. 

Interestingly, I was able to run lynx with the -trace option. I saw much
trace data; however, I did not see any indication that lynx even made
an attempt to look at the lynx.cfg file. Perhaps this is because the
-trace does not show file access attempts. I don't know; I am only
guessing. Do you know why the -trace does not show attempts to access and
read lynx.cfg ? Is this an indication of a problem; or is this normal ?
Do you have any ideas what could be causing this? Perhaps I should upgrade
lynx from lynx 2.8 to 2.8.2. What do you think ?

Any help would be much appreciated.
