lynx-dev lynx2.8.2pre.7 fails on HP-UX, but OK on Apollo

Since I saw that you were nearing a release of 2.8.2 and decided I better
try building Lynx on my HP-UX 10.20 and 11.00 and Apollo Domain/OS
1.4.1.2 again.

I guess I should have stayed more current - for that I appologize.  V2.8.1
had built fine, and 2.8.2pre7 builds and runs on Apollo Domain/OS (with
limited testing as yet) *but* I am having problems with 2.8.2pre7 on
HP-UX 10.20 and 11.00 - not sure when the problem would have snuck in. 

These were done with:

CC=cc ./configure --prefix=/opt/lynx
make

As you can see, I'm not getting very far at all on the HP-UX. My guess
would be a problem with the way configure is fathoming out my systems, but
I don't know enough about configure to decide where to begin looking.
Any help would be appreciated.
