I would first check permission of shared library files (lib*.so,
lib*.so.* - assuming that's the convention used, I don't really
know anything about OSF 4.0) in /lib, /usr/lib, /usr/local/lib
(or whereever they may be). If that's not where the problem
lies, I don't know - maybe someone else has better ideas?
(And you cann still try to follow the what's-different-between-
lynx-and-other-programs path.)
Well, two more stupid ideas - DOes it make a difference whether
you compile and link lynx as root or not. Does it make a
difference whether you run it from the source directory, or
install and run from the installed location.
