Hello All!

(And especially to Klaus!!)

I recompiled Lynx as me (instead of root) and it still did not resolve.

I copied the executable over to another DU machine and it did not resolve.

So, I enabled auditing on ALL events and monitored all audit events for my
shell process and all child processes.  Then I ran Lynx.

It failed reading /etc/hosts (-rw-------) and then on /etc/resolv.conf
(-rw-------).  After doing +r on those two files Lynx resolves correctly!
I wonder how ftp and telnet handle it (they're not suid files).  Oh well.

These two files were also evidently causing me headaches with SPSS
running.  I could run spss as root and it would connect with the license
manager correctly but when running spss as a non-root user it would fail
saying it could not connect with the license manager.  So, I'll inform the
SPSS people of this so they can put it in their help info files.
