I just compiled lynx 2.8.2r1 on both BSDI and Sparc. Is there anyway to
get the "Keypad mode" in lynx to be "Numbers act as numbers" or to just
turn off the keypad remapping?

I'm using a Macintosh with Nifytelnet. I've only noticed that the keypad
acts differently when running lynx (re-mapped to a duplicate set of arrow
keys?). While running lynx, I can reset the terminal in Nifytelnet to make
the keypad act like numbers.
