That is the "canonical" way (for non-color).

I don't know what you mean with 'unrevers'.

Try playing with -term=xxx, or setting the TERM environment variable
before starting lynx. 

They may all be running different versions.  Some of them may be too old,
or compiled with some unusual options, or linked with libraries that don't
have all the capabilities lynx expects.

You can ask them to compile a newer version.  Or compile a newer version
yourself, if you are allowed to (and have enough disk space, and access to
a C compiler on your shell account).

You may be able to control what terminal type is emulated.  This may (or
may not) influence how character attributes are displayed.  You may have
to set TERM on the shell accounts accordingly, by hand.

You don't say _which_ terminal program you use.  But give "kermit" a try.
