Download.com links you to the wrong package. For some reason, they are
linking to the source code package, rather than the Win98 package,
despite what their page says. Delete the package you downloaded and get
lynx for Win98 from:
"http://www.fdisk.com/doslynx/lynxport.htm";.

This will be a zip package with lynx.exe and a sample batch file. Edit
the batch file for your directory structure, then create a shortcut to
the batch file. There is no SETUP.EXE or INSTALL.EXE file. Edit the
lynx.cfg file as you desire.

Please contact download.com and let them know that their link to lynx
for Win98 is broken.
