Mandrake 6.0 ships with a broken Lynx. They released updated packages.

I'm not sure if it really was a bad Lynx, but in the last week I got
5! messages about this metamail thing with Lynx+Mandrake 6.0 on IRC.
If it's really a bad Lynx, so bad to see people releasing new stuff
without testing.
