I knew about slang's deficiency in this area, but I didn't realise it
wasn't a generic curses thing.

There is the problem of how we load all the frames in the first place...
Do we hang Lynx until we've loaded all of them, or let people pick which
frame(s) they want to load?  Or implement some kind of lazy evaluation
for frames -- first time you look at it, it'll load -- but with frames
called "main" or "content" loaded and presented automatically?  That would
"fix" about 70% of the typical framed pages I see.
