lynx-dev Lynx Config?

I have downloaded the Lynx 2.8.2. I would like to know where is the lynx config
file maintained. There is none in my $HOME directory.

Couple of other questions:

1. How do I get SSL support for Lynx?
2. How can I get Lynx to maintain the original format of the page? For example, 
the
   "links" browser (based on lynx), maintains the format of yahoo.com homepage. 
How
   can I do that in Lynx?
