The first question is "are you sure that you downloaded the correct
file?" The file with the long filenames that pkzip may not handle well
in DOS is probably the source file, which needs to be compiled before
it can be used. Are you looking for a lynx executable that you can
use? If so, with Win9x, WinNT, Win3.x, or plain DOS? For pointers to
these files, see "http://www.rahul.net/dkaufman/index.html";.

If you want to unzip the source code, use either "pkunzip -d" or
"unzip". There should only be two files which duplicate with the
8+3 filename convention in DOS. These are both specific for VMS and
shouldn't affect usage in DOS, Windows, or unix. It doesn't matter
whether you overwrite them or not.
