Passing more things across the EXTERNAL interface may be useful (or not),
but seems completely irrelevant to what Eduardo wants.  He wants to use
ACTIVATE instead of EXTERN.

Anyway, if you want to pass more things to EXTERNAL scripts - passing them
in environment variables is the way to go, IMO, rather than adding stuff
to the command line.  No need then to revise what "%s" means.

If you didn't fix it it must still be broken...  with the result that "mailto"
form actions don't work at all (in UNIX at least).

That's the one where he lets lynx fix up commands every time because
apparently it's not acceptable to configure lynx right.  I'd like
to say no thanks.  Anyway it isn't closely related to mailto handling,
except that that's where the "problem" happened to occur.
