I don't have bcc32 and don't know what is the probrem about you.
But I think you can try Lynx-SSL under Cygwin environment.
I compiled under these conditions and found it works fine.
Microsoft Windows 98
Cygwin b20.1
Lynx 2.8.2rel.1
SSL patch for Lynx2.8.2
SSLeay 0.9.0b
