None are legally available in the USA as the USA supports software patents
and is actively encouraging other countries to do so. SSL depends on a
US patent on the RSA algorithm (which has nearly, but not quite, expired).
Lynx is licensed under the Free Software Foundation's General Public Licence
terms, which are void if patent royalties have to be paid by any class of
user, which would be the case for commercial users of SSL Lynx in the
USA, and possibly a few other countries.

SSL Lynx is also subject to US arms control legislation and six months
ago it would be a felony in US law to allow it to be exported from the
USA. The current situation is more confused as there have been some
relaxations in this area.
