It broke the support for Japanese; not sure why.  (I tried to look at
the code, but it was too difficult for me.  Seems to me you limited the
size of the string that was allowed, but it was way too short for
Japanese _multi_(thus twice as long)byte strings.  Doubling your limit
did help, but didn't solve all the problems.  Also Japanese mime encoders,
whether correct or not, commonly break a long string into multiple lines
with a code set string, =?ISO-2022-JP?Q?, for each line.  I think your
code only allowed for one.)
