I think they "deserve" to have links to them on all sites that mirror the
distribution source code, but I cannot agree with bundling them up with the
code forcing everyone to download a bunch of language catalogues they have
no interest in.
What they deserve, IMO, is a simple, but complete, "how-to" set-up document,
in additon to simplification and rationalization of the gettexted strings.

The above catalogues could not possibly contain more than one or two very
short translated strings, except for Italian. I suspect they are null files
that quite likely would not even compile; a far cry from "the majority of."
