But changing Lynx is better here!

It also encourages bad habits in the use of HTML more common of sites
that work badly with Lynx.

It has verly little choice in the matter.  It shouldn't wrap at all,
but given that it has to, to fit on the screen without side scrolling,
it cannot do word breaks as that would ruin ASCII art, and pre-formatted
tables, even more than wrapping does.

It's required to by the definition of PRE.
