Several things come to mind while reading this thread.  For instance,
a library implementing JavaScript is available - somewhere in the Lynx
distribution there used to be a note about where to find it - I think it's
associated to the enable-javascript flag in Lynx's configure file.  Right now
all the configure does is set up some Makefile info for the linking of
the library.   But at least you wouldn't have to worry about what commands
to implement at first...

The other thing that comes to mind is the Netscape vs IE vs ECMAScript
issue.  There are incompatibilities between at least the first two that
are going to be a pain to accomodate.  I don't know whether the library
worries about those or not...
