I'm trying to figure out this error:

$ lynx nntp://tank.wizards.com/

Connecting to NewsHost ...
Looking up tank.wizards.com
Making NNTP connection to tank.wizards.com
500 Command not recognized
Connecting to NewsHost ...
Looking up tank.wizards.com
Making NNTP connection to tank.wizards.com
Alert!: 501 Command syntax error

lynx: Can't access startfile nntp://tank.wizards.com/

When I do a trace, I see:

NNTP command to be sent: XGTITLE *
NNTP Response: 500 Command not recognized

When I check the server, I see this:

$ telnet  tank.wizards.com nntp

So what would be an alternative to WGTITLE?
