lynx doesn't make this message since 2.8.3dev.10.

it's been a while (2.8.2rel.1 is dated 1999-06-01),
so it would be hard to guess (I advise updating lynx first).
Klaus reworked much of the mailcap stuff, iirc, and others have made changes.
