Unduly fancy?!?!
I guess being in both the "GUI world" (for my job) and the CLI world
(usually my preference) maybe I see things differently.. but shouldn't
things be as easy as possible *as long as they don't interfere with
getting something done*? The only thing the improved navigation
interferes with is the leftarrow-back (and rightarrow which I think is
the same as return).. so it should be a preference.. but it seems like
a BIG improvement to me.
(pine is my classic example that a text-based program *CAN* be as absolutely
friendly and helpful as any GUI program -- but I also note that if I weren't
able to configure-the-heck out of pine to not always show the menu at the
bottom of the screen and ALWAYS use vim as my editor automatically, I
wouldn't use it.. but "out of the box" it's just as friendly and "in your
face" as any GUI program -- and I mean that mostly as a compliment...
I wish more text-based programs took some lessons from pine..)
