Just to elaborate on Tom Dickey's reply, there is no mandatory
configuration file. There is a default configuration file picked
at compile time. This can be overridden by invoking lynx as
"lynx -cfg=filename" or setting the environment variable LYNX_CFG.
Other files may be included, but only if so designated in the actual
configuration file used (be it the default or a private lynx.cfg
file). If there is a systemwide file, it might have a line at the end
to include ~/lynx.cfg, or you can invoke with your private lynx.cfg
and put a line at the beginning to include the systemwide file. Be
careful not to create an endless loop. Most (but not all) options are
set to the last setting read, if more than one setting exists (as when
you include other configuration files).
