Yes, you can insert this in your lynx.cfg:
EXTERNAL:mailto:pine %s:TRUE
And then press "." (i.e. dot) on a mailto: link, That should
spawn Pine. However, you won't get the choice of including the
current page in your comment like you do with Lynx.
