lynx maps KEY_BACKSPACE (0x107) to CH_DEL (0x7f).
slang doesn't define KEY_BACKSPACE.  It does define

#define SL_KEY_BACKSPACE        0x110

(for your purpose, you can consider it a bug in lynx)
