yes, I understand that (was working on tin last night, so all I did was
verify that I can reproduce the bug).  My guess is that one of LP's (or
my) changes in the HTParse.c code is causing the internal form of the
URL to be trashed.  Since I can reproduce it, it should be something that
can be fixed without much pain.
