This is exactly correct -- I shortcut my example by simply referencing the
Screen Reader. Generally folks aren't that familiar with AT. Thanks for the

It's unlikely to have been a screen reader.  It's most likely to have been
"assistive technlogy" that uses Microsoft MSAA interface.  The most common
of these amongst companies buying such products for their employees is JAWS,
which is an Internet Explorer bolt on, using MSAA, and inherits IE's
scripting (JScript and VBScript), document object model and browser object
model (the combination of JScript, and the two object models is what is
popularly understood as Javascript, not just the scripting component).
