It wouldn't matter if FTP Software had tested their programs properly.
E.g. their POP3 client (for DOS) crashed on receiving lines longer than
~120 chars. In 1995 HTML in email was rare, but nowadays most HTML
code has huge linelengths. Not to forget "Path:" in headers.
