That's a rather old version (2.8.6 is current).
Since 2.8.5, file-uploading has been a workable option.
Alert!: Can't open file for uploading
and won't let me post the mail. Attaching /dev/null works, but is kludgy.
In other words, it forces me to attach a file even if I don't want
to. I'm guessing this happens on all forms with 'file' input types,
but haven't tested.
Would upgrading help?
