Presumably you are referring to certain html editors that suggest that
a browser does not display frames. It's not a server setting if that
is the suggestion.

You are using your own config file, and so can edit colours to taste
there with 2.8.6.
The useragent string won't affect server behaviour wrt frames.

There should be reasonable control there with the [O]ptions control page.

Default settings from my shell provider (shellfusion.net) give a nice
display in xterm and Terminal with 2.8.5rel.4 from 2005. What is $TERM
set to there?
