Hi folks!
Bravo, Lynx is great!
I have a tiny little problem, though: I installed it on Mac OS X.4,
and now lynx automatically pops up every time I open a new terminal
window. This means I now have no way of using the command line in OS
X, since quitting lynx quits the whole terminal session. What do I do?
I've not had this problem. Did you build it yourself?
If not, where did you get it.

BTW, have you tried lynxlet?

In direct email with Adam, we figured out the problem. I'm pretty sure he was using Lynxlet.app. I'll describe the issue here for the archives.

One problem for Lynxlet.app is that it is fairly easy to accidentally reset Terminal's defaults to use the Lynxlet settings for new windows. If one selects File>User-Settings-As-Defaults when a Lynxlet window is in front, Terminal will use lynx instead of a shell for all future windows.

In 10.4, there is no easy way to fix this from the UI. The simplest solution is to delete Terminal's preferences file:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Terminal.plist

In 10.5, Terminal's Preference window can be used to reset the default window setting.
