A patch that fixes the problem by renaming Lynx's ON and OFF macros
to LON and LOFF:

It would be nice if C had qualified identifiers, a la modern dialects of
Pascal.

In any event, a generic identifier like ON in a header file of a library is kind of a brain damaged idea to begin with.
