4.3 beta could probably solve some mentioned issues:1.) there was possible deadlock in old event engine related to program starting, it was solved in 4.3.
2.) the event scheme was changed - it is possible that the output of new event engine can help to explain some event related problems.
You can get the 4.3-beta from (http://www.tildeslash.com/monit/beta/).Please run monit with '-v' switch (debug mode) and let us know the testing result. In the case that problems will remain, it can help also if you can attach some debug output.
