oh yuck, you got a circular graph. this is a "bug" in a sort of "thing we need to fix" sense, not a simple coding mistake. the easiest way out of this is to delete the certs connecting you back on yourself. you might try:
monotone debug 'delete from manifest_certs where id like "b7740%"' that will strip all the certs off that node, and probably un-jam you.longer term (a month or two?), the mechanism we're discussing for "contexts" will make this unfortunate occurrence impossible in the future. sorry you ran into it so early.
