hmm, the Plo, Po, and .dirstamp files are in .deps/ and are used by automake
for dependency tracking. perhaps just adding:
if (string.find(name, "/autom4te.cache/")) then return true end
if (string.find(name, "/.deps/")) then return true end
makes more sense?
