Excellent - Many thanks for that Thomas :-)

I was thinking of switching the external comparison tool over to kdiff3 to match with the recommended merge tool for monotone but unfortunately that also suffers from the KDE dependency thing (as you would expect).

Good point. It does seem a little bit 'odd' that a Gtk tool has a dependency on KDE. So unless anyone has any objections, I'll switch to meld. Remember that this setting just specifies the default application to use, the user is free to change it under their own preferences to what ever they want. So I think this is more an issue for packagers... Please let me know if you don't like this decision.

I'm also in the process of setting up a Debian 6 vm to look into switching over to Gtk2::SourceView2 (as highlighted by Richard). Hopefully this will be a simple name change in the code and so I may be able to get the installer to select the right package depending upon what it finds on the target distro.

   Many thanks,

   Tony.

Just a quick email to announce the release of the above software
on source forge and CPAN respectively.

Basically the main work was to get these packages working with version 0.99.1 of Monotone.

Monotone Browser, not only having the new selectors introduced in 0.99.1, also now has the ability to restrict revision and file
histories to specific branches.

Just fyi, Fedora packages have been put up for review:

 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=684407
 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=684433

Btw, I changed the default FILE_COMPARISON tool from "kompare" to
"meld", to not drag in too many KDE packages for Gnome user.

Regards,
Thomas
