Can't you use rcvstore for this?
For example, I've had this spam-filing recipe in my .procmailrc for ages:
:0w: Mail/sp/$LOCKEXT
* ^X-Bogosity: Spam, tests=bogofilter
| /usr/libexec/nmh/rcvstore +sp
