Well, first, my apologies to everyone ... I misunderstood what David
meant. No incompatibility is needed. On second look, I realize now
that this never worked; I just copied the bug along when I rototilled
the format engine API. It should have included a NEWCOMP() in there,
and I just copied the bug.
But to your actual question ... I have no idea! My gut says ... maybe
low hundreds? Don't ask me to defend that number, though.
