To: mail-alias-here ( my comment here )

From: Tom
Subject: To: mail-alias-here ( my comment here )
Date: Thu, 23 Apr 2020 08:27:31 -0500

Example:

    To: some-ali-alias-here ( a comment here )

Then '( a comment here )' does not make it into my sent folder copy.

---
If there is no alias in the header, as in

    To: address@hidden ( some comment here )

then the comment does show up in my sent folder, and my inbox if I send to
myself.

thanks,
Tom

It's a low priority issue, but it does surprise this end user a bit.

I'm experimenting with these comments now, my hunch is that may be useful,
but I can not defend that position now. :->

Seems that gmail strips off '( my comment here )' from the To: header
when it receives it. My receiving sendmail MTA does not strip it.
