Follow-up Comment #10, bug #44548 (project octave):
For that matter, it looks like on Windows, Octave is storing its configuration
and user state data under the root directory of the user profile
(%USERPROFILE%) at ~/.config/octave and ~/.octave_hist. I think it would be
more appropriate to store these in the user's roaming profile appdata
(AppData/Roaming, accessible via %APPDATA%).
