Follow-up Comment #5, bug #55635 (project octave): Maybe we could change the target for the links in the start menu and on the desktop in the Windows installer to: "%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\wscript.exe" C:\Octave\Octave-5.0.90\octave.vbs --force-gui And accordingly for the CLI links. That would avoid problems for users that changed the file association for .vbs files.
