Follow-up Comment #8, bug #56097 (project octave):
As a workaround I commented line 153 - 155 in __maininfo__.m out. octave --gui
now allows help sin and doc sin.
Of course this is no solution, since octave-hlp-* files in /tmp are not
removed.
